Tamil Nadu Directorate of Elementary Education has prepared “The Draft Code of Regulations for Play Schools, 2015”.
Director of Elementary Education, Office of the Directorate of Elementary Education, Chennai, under the direction of Most Honourable Madras High Court had solicited Public Opinion.
Several things are ‘wrong‘ in this document / draft code.
Major Highlights are that, it says –
– no to ECCE Principles
– no to Child Rights
– no to International Practices
– no to UNCRC, UNESCO
– no to respect for Teachers

Most of the provisions in this document are not as per ‘Human Rights and Child Rights’ and also not at all as per ‘Early Childhood Education and Care’ Principles.
The Draft Code of Regulations for Play Schools
Directorate of Elementary Education, Chennai, Tamil Nadu had drafted “The Draft Code of Regulations for Play Schools 2015”.
Now, Madhya Pradesh is also planning to come up with similar legislation.
It would be followed by other states as well. And, each state will follow “The Draft Code of Regulations for Play Schools 2015” of Directorate of Elementary Education, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
