Preschool Teachers are NOT Low-skilled labour. Lets Pledge Respect and commensurate Pay.

Preschool / Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) / Play School, is NOT a place where just “transmission” of Education happens.

The perception that –
If you can read A, B, C, 1, 2, 3, … you can teach in Preschool / Play School;
If you can take care of a child, you may teach in Preschool / Play School;
…. is absolutely wrong.

Preschool Teachers are Early Childhood Professionals, the more years of ‘Education’ one has, the ‘better’ early childhood educator will come out.

India needs a social re-engineering, where we should have huge respect for early childhood educators (Preschool Teachers).

Work done by Preschool Teachers needs to be re-valued.

Preschool Teachers need commensurate Pay.
